Born and raised in South King County, Mónica Mendoza-Castrejón (AKA Móni La Artivista) has always had an eye for the ethereal and a passion for environmental & social justice. As Mónica's career as a lawyer to be, and social justice activist has evolved, so has her art.

She enjoys painting, drawing, writing, and performing poems and spoken word pieces. Her creative work is inspired by her love of social and environmental justice, her Mexican culture, science fiction, and uplifting the LGBTQ community & non-Eurocentric standards of beauty.
